- Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior. - Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, Lord, is the kingdom;
you are exalted as head over all. - The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are attentive to their cry. - The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
- And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
- Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. - One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple. - Blessed is the one whom God corrects;
so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. - Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

- The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,
“Hosanna to the Son of David!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Hosanna in the highest heaven!” - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - As you do not know the path of the wind,
or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God,
the Maker of all things. - I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
- The integrity of the upright guides them,
but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. - Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people he chose for his inheritance. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and instruction. - But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
- May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
establish the work of our hands for us—
yes, establish the work of our hands. - “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
- Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’
- The righteous person may have many troubles,
but the Lord delivers him from them all. - Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
- If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
