- There is no salvation in anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to men by which we can be saved.
- Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And yet not one of them is forgotten in God’s sight. Even the hairs on your head have all been counted. Do not be afraid. You are worth far more than any number of sparrows.
- But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me;
you are my glory and the one who raises my head high. - But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people claimed by God as his own possession,” so that you may proclaim the praise of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
- Therefore, you have no excuse, whoever you may be, when you pass judgment on others. For in judging others you condemn yourself, since you are doing the same things.
- There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save or to destroy. Who then are you to pass judgment on a neighbor?
- There is one body and one Spirit, as well as one hope to which you have been called by your vocation.

- Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have received from God, and that you are not your own? You have been purchased at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body.
- As a result, you are no longer strangers and foreigners. Rather, you are fellow citizens of the saints and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.
- When they arrest you and bring you to trial, do not be concerned beforehand about what you are to say. Simply say whatever is given to you when that time comes, for it will not be you who speak but the Holy Spirit.
- For everything there is a season,
and a time for every activity under heaven. - Consider the ravens. They do not sow or reap, they have no storehouse or barn, and yet God feeds them. You are of far greater importance than birds.
- Yours, O Lord, are greatness,
power, glory, strength, and majesty,
for everything in heaven and on earth is yours.
Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom;
you are exalted as head over all. - If you are angry, do not sin. Do not let the sun set on your anger, and do not give the devil an opening.
- There is a way that seems right to a man,
but the end of it leads to death. - Whom do I have in heaven except you?
And besides you there is nothing else I desire on earth. - Then Jesus said to those Jews who did believe in him,
“If you remain faithful to my word,
you will truly be my disciples.
You will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free.” - After John had baptized all the people, and while Jesus was engaged in prayer after also having been baptized, heaven opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased.”
- The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- Now this Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
- And now, brethren, I want to remind you of the gospel I proclaimed to you, which you received and in which you stand firm. Through it you are also being saved, provided that you are holding fast to what I proclaimed to you. If not, then you have believed in vain.
- For us there is
one God, the Father,
from whom all things are
and for whom we exist,
and one Lord, Jesus Christ,
through whom all things are
and through whom we exist.
