He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.He gives strength to the weary and new vigor to those who are powerless.
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.Through the grace that God has bestowed upon me, I advise every one of you not to think of yourself too highly, but to regard yourself objectively, based on the measure of faith that God has granted.
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.In view of all this, you should make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with piety, and piety with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.
It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.It is rash to pledge a sacred gift, or to make a vow and then have second thoughts.
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?The Lord has told you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? Only this: to do what is right, to show mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.Moreover, the one to whom God grants wealth and possessions and the ability to enjoy them and to find contentment in his toil receives a gift from God.
Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.And so does kindness, O Lord. You reward each person in accordance with his deeds.
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.If he refuses to listen to them, report it to the Church. And if he refuses to listen to the Church, treat him as you would a Gentile or a tax collector.
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.You intended to do evil to me, but God decided to make it serve a good, to fulfill that which today has come true: to keep alive a numerous people.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.Do not withhold kindness from anyone to whom it is due when it is in your power to grant it.
For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.Therefore, the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from their trials and to hold the wicked for punishment until the Day of Judgment.
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.The Lord is near to all who call out to him, to all who call out to him sincerely.
Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.Do not wear yourself out in the pursuit of wealth, and cease even to think about it.
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?This rather is the type of fast that I wish: to loosen the fetters of injustice, to undo the thongs of the yoke, to set free those who are oppressed and to break every yoke.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.We know that God makes all things work together for good for those who love him and who are called according to his purpose.
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.The desires of the flesh result in death, but the desires of the Spirit result in life and peace.
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.In everything, deal with others as you would like them to deal with you. This is the Law and the Prophets.
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.From that day forward Jesus began to proclaim the message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.”
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.But from everlasting to everlasting the kindness of the Lord is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children, with those who keep his covenant and diligently observe his commandments.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in abundance.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.Make every effort to present yourself before God as one who is worthy of his approval, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, but who imparts the word of truth without any alteration.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you waverers.
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?Which one of you, intending to build a tower, would not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has sufficient funds for its completion?

I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.I will make haste and not delay to observe your precepts.
