Bible Verses about 'Tongue of a disciple'
- The soothing tongue is a tree of life,
but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit. - The tongue of the righteous is choice silver,
but the heart of the wicked is of little value. - Before a word is on my tongue

they must seek peace and pursue it.” - Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
- Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
- The words of a gossip are like choice morsels;
they go down to the inmost parts. - Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
- Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious,
but fools are consumed by their own lips. - Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
- If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
- Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

A person’s riches may ransom their life,
but the poor cannot respond to threatening rebukes.Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.
