Bible Verses about 'Tongue of a disciple'
- A wholesome tongue is a tree of life,
but an undisciplined tongue crushes the spirit. - The tongue of the just man is like pure silver;
the heart of the wicked is without worth. - A word is not even on my tongue
and you, O Lord, are completely aware of it. - The words of a wise man win favor,
but a fool’s tongue is his undoing. - Then keep your tongue from evil

that corrode one’s inner being. - Where many words are spoken, sin is not absent,
but whoever restrains his tongue is prudent. - Dear children,
let us love not in word or speech
but in deed and truth. - The one who leads a blameless life
and does what is right,
who speaks the truth from the heart
and does not slander anyone,
who does not harm a friend
and does not scorn a neighbor. - No weapon used against you will prevail,
and you will refute every accusation
that is raised in court against you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
their vindication from me, says the Lord. - Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
- If in speaking I use human tongues
and angelic as well,
but do not have love,
I am nothing more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. - After you have suffered for a brief period, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and support you.
- A wealthy man pays a ransom to save his life;
a poor man never has to worry about such threats. - Rejoice with all your heart, O daughter Zion.
Shout for joy, O daughter Jerusalem.
See, your king is coming to you,
triumphant and victorious,
humble and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. - The father of a good man will rejoice;
he who begets a wise son will delight in him.
