- Know that wisdom is the same for your soul;
If you find it, then there will be a future,
And your hope will not be cut off. - For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up!
- This also comes from the Lord of armies,
Who has made His counsel wonderful and His wisdom great. - Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
All those who follow His commandments have a good understanding;
His praise endures forever. - Oh, the depth of the riches, both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!
- Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, I will also help you,
I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand. - That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.
- To You, God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise,
For You have given me wisdom and power;
Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You,
For You have made known to us the king’s matter. - Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
- But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy.
- Hear my prayer, Lord, and listen to my cry for help;
Do not be silent to my tears;
For I am a stranger with You,
One who lives abroad, like all my fathers. - Why are you in despair, my soul?
And why are you restless within me?
Wait for God, for I will again praise Him
For the help of His presence, my God. - So, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place, as to whether the Christ was to suffer, and whether, as first from the resurrection of the dead, He would proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.
- Do not say, “Why is it that the former days were better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask about this. - The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous,
And His ears are toward their cry for help. - A friend loves at all times,
And a brother is born for adversity. - Do not weary yourself to gain wealth;
Stop dwelling on it. - For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
- You have also given me the shield of Your salvation,
And Your right hand upholds me;
And Your gentleness makes me great.
You enlarge my steps under me,
And my feet have not slipped. - I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may be with you forever.
- Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in your power to do it. - Behold, God is my helper;
The Lord is the sustainer of my soul. - The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears
And rescues them from all their troubles.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
And saves those who are crushed in spirit. - For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, by having served and by still serving the saints.
