- This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
- And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
- We love because He first loved us.
- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
- There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
- For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
- Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
- Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.
- No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
- And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.Next verse!With image
