Chinese (traditional)Most certainly I tell you, he who receives whomever I send, receives me; and he who receives me, receives him who sent me. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation nor turning shadow. To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice. But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.” I have taken your testimonies as a heritage forever,
for they are the joy of my heart. If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
but Yahweh weighs the hearts. Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father. Behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Behold, God is my helper.
The Lord is the one who sustains my soul. Now when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all with one accord in one place. Suddenly there came from the sky a sound like the rushing of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment. Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity,
and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage?
He doesn’t retain his anger forever,
because he delights in loving kindness. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. In my distress I called on Yahweh,
and cried to my God.
He heard my voice out of his temple.
My cry before him came into his ears. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. All these with one accord continued steadfastly in prayer and supplication, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. The prospect of the righteous is joy,
but the hope of the wicked will perish. Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, including those who pierced him. All the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. Even so, Amen. When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight. I spread out my hands to you.
My soul thirsts for you, like a parched land. Selah. You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe—and shudder. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. The fear of man proves to be a snare,
but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe. Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. But Jesus said, “Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.” Like a father has compassion on his children,
so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him. Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him. He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things? Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh,
and whose confidence is in Yahweh.
For he will be as a tree planted by the waters,
who spreads out its roots by the river,
and will not fear when heat comes,
but its leaf will be green,
and will not be concerned in the year of drought.
It won’t cease from yielding fruit.Next verse! With image
