Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. To do justice and judgment
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever:
for they are the rejoicing of my heart. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes:
but the Lord pondereth the hearts. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Behold, God is mine helper:
the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. Who is a God like unto thee,
that pardoneth iniquity,
and passeth by the transgression
of the remnant of his heritage?
he retaineth not his anger for ever,
because he delighteth in mercy. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. In my distress I called upon the Lord,
and cried unto my God:
he heard my voice out of his temple,
and my cry came before him, even into his ears. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. I stretch forth my hands unto thee:
my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The fear of man bringeth a snare:
but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Like as a father pitieth his children,
so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.Next verse! With image
