Evangelism (2/2)

  • For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.
  • But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
  • So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
  • And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not stop teaching and preaching the good news of Jesus as the Christ.
  • And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of people.”
  • Opening his mouth, Peter said:
“I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality,
but in every nation the one who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him.”
  • For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
  • Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
  • How I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was beneficial, and teaching you publicly and from house to house.
  • As for you, see that what you heard from the beginning remains in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.
  • So, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place, as to whether the Christ was to suffer, and whether, as first from the resurrection of the dead, He would proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.
  • Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
  • Beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness:
He who was revealed in the flesh,
    Was vindicated in the Spirit,
    Seen by angels,
    Proclaimed among the nations,
    Believed on in the world,
    Taken up in glory.
  • Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
  • This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
  • Jesus was going about in all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.
  • And heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
