Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about Gentleness
- Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.
- As God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.
- A soft answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger. - Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone.
- Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,
sweetness to the soul and health to the body. - By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.
- You shall not hate in your heart anyone of your kin; you shall reprove your neighbor, or you will incur guilt yourself. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against any of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.
- Let us therefore no longer pass judgment on one another, but resolve instead never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of another.
- So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.
- Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.
- Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another; do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.
- Very truly, I tell you, whoever receives one whom I send receives me; and whoever receives me receives him who sent me.
Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. If you will only obey the Lord your God, by diligently observing all his commandments that I am commanding you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.Next verse! With image
