- Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
- Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
- In God is my salvation and my glory:
the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
- Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.
- And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
- I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
- For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
- Our help is in the name of the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:
thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever:
forsake not the works of thine own hands. - Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
- Seek the Lord, and his strength:
seek his face evermore. - One thing have I desired of the Lord,
that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to enquire in his temple. - For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
- This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working. - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
- He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
- This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
- And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
- And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
- Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him,
upon them that hope in his mercy. - Be still, and know that I am God:
I will be exalted among the heathen,
I will be exalted in the earth. - Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. - The name of the Lord is a strong tower:
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice:
let thine ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications.
