God (3/4)

  • Before the mountains were brought forth,
    or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,
    even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
  • But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
  • Who hath wrought and done it,
    calling the generations from the beginning?
    I the Lord, the first,
    and with the last; I am he.
  • Be still, and know that I am God:
    I will be exalted among the heathen,
    I will be exalted in the earth.
  • God shall bless us;
    and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
  • And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
  • Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
  • The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:
    but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.
  • This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
  • And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
  • Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
  • Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him,
    upon them that hope in his mercy.
  • O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
  • Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
  • Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord.
  • As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
    so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
  • And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
  • Thou, O Lord, remainest for ever;
    thy throne from generation to generation.
  • The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
  • God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
  • What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
  • But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
  • Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.
  • Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
  • Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
