- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

- The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:
thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever:
forsake not the works of thine own hands. - One thing have I desired of the Lord,
that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to enquire in his temple. - He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
- For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
- This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working. - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
- Except the Lord build the house,
they labour in vain that build it:
except the Lord keep the city,
the watchman waketh but in vain. - And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
- The name of the Lord is a strong tower:
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. - For who is God save the Lord?
or who is a rock save our God? - While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.
