Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications!Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh. Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.
You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
No one who conceals transgressions will prosper, but one who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

Rend your hearts and not your clothing. Husbands, in the same way, show consideration for your wives in your life together, paying honor to the woman as the weaker sex, since they too are also heirs of the gracious gift of life—so that nothing may hinder your prayers.You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman as to the weaker vessel, as also being joint heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even look up to heaven, but was beating his breast and saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
When God saw what they did, how they turned from their evil ways, God changed his mind about the calamity that he had said he would bring upon them; and he did not do it.God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. God relented of the disaster which he said he would do to them, and he didn’t do it.
