Law (2/5)

This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace. For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
For Christ is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
If you love me, keep my commandments. If you love me, keep my commands.
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
And keep the instruction of Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and his testimonies, according to that which is written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn yourself.Observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go.
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged.Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
The wise in heart accept commandments, but a chattering fool will fall. The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin.
Those who love your law have great peace. Nothing causes them to stumble.Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.
Love doesn’t harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to Yahweh’s law.Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord.
But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom and continues, not being a hearer who forgets but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
This is the end of the matter. All has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.
I don’t reject the grace of God. For if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nothing!I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!
‘You shall not murder.’ ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ‘You shall not steal.’ ‘You shall not offer false testimony.’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ And, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’
He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die.Whoever keeps commandments keeps their life, but whoever shows contempt for their ways will die.
One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.
Be it known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins; and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
He who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. By this we know that he remains in us, by the Spirit which he gave us.The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
We, being Jews by nature and not Gentile sinners, yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for they will add to you length of days, years of life, and peace. My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.

But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction. But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile.
