15 Bible Verses about the Mind

English Standard VersionReina-Valera 1960
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”Jesús le dijo: Amarás al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, y con toda tu alma, y con toda tu mente.
Whoever gets sense loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding will discover good.
For in much wisdom is much vexation, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.
The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.El avisado ve el mal y se esconde; Mas los simples pasan y llevan el daño.
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.
Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.¿Quién es sabio y entendido entre vosotros?
Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.
Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding.
For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.Pues me propuse no saber entre vosotros cosa alguna sino a Jesucristo, y a éste crucificado.
A fool despises his father's instruction, but whoever heeds reproof is prudent.
