- You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
- I desire to do your will, my God;
your law is within my heart. - Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
- But I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.
- If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction,
even their prayers are detestable. - But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
- I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.
- The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today.
- And the people said to Joshua, “We will serve the Lord our God and obey him.”
- To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.
