- Do not forsake your own friend or your father’s friend,
Nor go to your brother’s house in the day of your calamity;
Better is a neighbor nearby than a brother far away. - A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself;
The simple pass on and are punished. - As iron sharpens iron,
So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. - As in water face reflects face,
So a man’s heart reveals the man.
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.Next verse!With image
