In my distress I called out to the Lord;
he answered by setting me free.

With the Lord to protect me I am not afraid.
What can mortals do to me?
Psalm 118:6 fear protection

It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to place your trust in mortals.
Psalm 118:8 trust safety protection
This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us exult and rejoice in it.

O Lord, grant us salvation.
O Lord, grant us success.
