- Though the fig tree does not blossom,
and no fruit is on the vines;
though the produce of the olive fails
and the fields yield no food;
though the flock is cut off from the fold
and there is no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will exult in the God of my salvation. - Because you are precious in my sight,
and honored, and I love you,
I give people in return for you,
nations in exchange for your life. - For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
- On God rests my deliverance and my honor;
my mighty rock, my refuge is in God. - I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture.
- For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- For the Lord himself, with a cry of command, with the archangel's call and with the sound of God's trumpet, will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer,

my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - Consequently he is able for all time to save those who approach God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted,
and saves the crushed in spirit. - Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved;
for you are my praise. - But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
- For just as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.
- For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our ruler,
the Lord is our king; he will save us. - Lead me in your truth, and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all day long. - And having been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.
- For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance.
