- And baptism, which this prefigured, now saves you—not as a removal of dirt from the body, but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

my God will hear me. - How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of the messenger who announces peace,
who brings good news,
who announces salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” - Restore us, O Lord God of hosts;
let your face shine, that we may be saved. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall never be shaken. - Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation.
- He called the crowd with his disciples, and said to them, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
- I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.
