| For Yahweh is our judge. Yahweh is our lawgiver. Yahweh is our king. He will save us. | For the Lord is our judge, our lawgiver, and our king. He will care for us and save us. |
| Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation. | In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him. |

| This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you—not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. | And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience.
