Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. | O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us, for we have placed our hope in you. |

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. | The second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ |
Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord. | You shall observe my commandments and obey them. I am the Lord. |
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. | Whatever you ask for in faith-filled prayer, you will receive. |
By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life. | The reward of humility and fear of the Lord is wealth, honor, and life. |
The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. | The blessing of the Lord is what brings wealth, and our toil adds nothing to it. |
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. | Be doers of the word and not just hearers who only deceive themselves. |
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. | Just as in Adam all die, so all will be brought to life in Christ. |
The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. | The wealthy man lords it over the poor, and the borrower becomes the slave of the lender. |
Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord. | One who finds a wife finds happiness and receives favor from the Lord. |
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. | A cheerful heart is excellent medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. |
The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar. | A man’s attraction is his kindness; it is far better to be poor than to be a liar. |

For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us. | For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver. The Lord is our king; he is the one who will save us. |
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. | Test everything, and hold fast to what is good. Avoid every form of evil. |

And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. | And now, what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name. |
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. | An honorable name is more to be desired than great riches, and high esteem is preferable to silver and gold. |
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. | Behold, I am coming soon, and I will bring with me my reward to repay everyone as his deeds deserve. |
