- Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
- For it was you who formed my inward parts;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
that I know very well. - Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, for you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
- Keep his statutes and his commandments, which I am commanding you today for your own well-being and that of your descendants after you, so that you may long remain in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
- Thus says the Lord:
Stand at the crossroads, and look,
and ask for the ancient paths,
where the good way lies; and walk in it,
and find rest for your souls.
But they said, “We will not walk in it.” - “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
- Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. - Therefore you have no excuse, whoever you are, when you judge others; for in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.
- You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
- “All things are lawful,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
- For as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ.
- Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you.
- Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. With all of these, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
- See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all.
- When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart.
- My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have rescued. - He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
- Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with all of you.
- Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show mercy to you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him. - He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
- Keep straight the path of your feet,
and all your ways will be sure. - God said, “See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.”
- Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord. - For the love of Christ urges us on, because we are convinced that one has died for all; therefore all have died. And he died for all, so that those who live might live no longer for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them.
- Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son and in the Father.
