- The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
- Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
- Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
- In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
- Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
- For thou, O God, hast proved us:
thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. - I stretch forth my hands unto thee:
my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. - As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God. - Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
- Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day. - But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine.
- And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
- Arise, shine; for thy light is come,
and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. - Teach me to do thy will;
for thou art my God:
thy spirit is good;
lead me into the land of uprightness. - I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. - And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee:
for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. - We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.
- If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
- Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved:
for thou art my praise. - For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. - For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous;
with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. - But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
- Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
- Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.
Yea, in the way of thy judgments,
O Lord, have we waited for thee;
the desire of our soul is to thy name,
and to the remembrance of thee.But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
