Just as in Adam all die, so all will be brought to life in Christ. | For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. |
To anyone who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, as I myself overcame and sat with my Father on his throne. | He who overcomes, I will give to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. |
In everything, deal with others as you would like them to deal with you. This is the Law and the Prophets. | Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets. |
And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask him, we may be sure that all we ask of him will be ours. | And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him. |
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of distress. | Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble. |
Take delight in the Lord, and he will grant you what your heart desires. | Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. |
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that weighs us down and the sins that so easily distract us and with perseverance run the race that lies ahead of us. | Therefore let’s also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with perseverance the race that is set before us. |
Therefore, accept one another for the glory of God, just as Christ has accepted you. | Therefore accept one another, even as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God. |
For just as through the disobedience of one man the many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one man the many will be made righteous. | For as through the one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous. |
Therefore, encourage one another and strengthen one another, as indeed you are doing. | Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do. |
And so does kindness, O Lord. You reward each person in accordance with his deeds. | Also to you, Lord, belongs loving kindness, for you reward every man according to his work. |
This water prefigured Baptism, which now saves you. It does so not by the washing away of dirt from the body but by the pledge of a good conscience given to God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. | This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you—not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. |
For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so too do we believe that God will bring forth with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. | For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. |
In much the same manner will wisdom be sweet to your soul. If you find it, you will have a future, and your hope will not be cut off. | So you shall know wisdom to be to your soul. If you have found it, then there will be a reward: Your hope will not be cut off. |
He who called you is holy. Therefore, be holy yourselves in all your conduct. For Scripture says, “Be holy, for I am holy.” | But just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior, because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” |
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from there we await our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. | For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. |
Jesus answered them, “Amen, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to this fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be accomplished.” | Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.” |
And let the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, because it was for this that you were called together in one body. Always be thankful. | And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful. |
He is the head of the body, that is, the Church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that in every way he should be supreme. | He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence. |
And we are witnesses to these things, as is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him. | We are his witnesses of these things; and so also is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him. |

Rather, you are fellow citizens of the saints and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. | So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God, being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone. |

Also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God. |
