- Therefore, now I, Nebuchadnezzar,
praise and exalt and glorify
the King of heaven.
For all of his works are right,
and all of his ways are just.
Also, he is able to humble
all those who follow the path of pride. - The heart is more deceitful than any other thing,
and it is also perverse.
Who can uncover its secrets?
I, the Lord, search the heart
and probe the mind
to reward all according to their conduct
and as their deeds deserve. - Everyone who sins breaks the law,
for sin is lawlessness. - One who is covetous will never be satisfied with money,
nor will the lover of wealth be content with gain.
This too is vanity. - Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked. A person will reap only what he sows.
- He has made everything suitable for its time, and he has given men a sense of past and future, but they never have the slightest comprehension of what God has wrought from beginning to end.
- This, in fact, is what you have been called to do, because Christ himself suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in his footsteps.
- And whenever you stand in prayer, forgive whatever grievance you have against anybody, so that your Father in heaven may forgive your wrongs too.
- Bear with one another, and forgive one another if anyone has reason to be offended with another. You must forgive just as the Lord has forgiven you.
- Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
- In the same way, faith by itself is dead if it does not have works.
- Joseph therefore went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David. He went to be registered together with Mary, his betrothed, who was expecting a child.
- Let your attitude be identical to that of Christ Jesus.
- Let what you heard from the beginning
remain in you.
If what you heard from the beginning

then you will remain in the Son
and in the Father. - The one who calls you is faithful, and he will accomplish this.
- However, each one of you should love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife should respect her husband.
- Brethren, if anyone is detected committing a transgression, you who are spiritual must set him right in a spirit of gentleness. Meanwhile, you should take care so that you yourselves are not tempted.

and so will my soul, which you have redeemed. - For ‘In him we live and move and have our being.’ As even your own poets have said, ‘We are all his offspring.’
- I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. Now waiting for me is the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day—and not only to me, but to all those who have eagerly longed for his appearance.
- For thus says the One who is high and exalted,
who lives eternally
and whose name is holy:
I dwell in a high and holy place
but I am with the contrite and the humble,
to revive the spirit of the humble
and to revive the heart of the contrite. - For I handed on to you as of primary importance what I received: that Christ died for our sins, in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried and that he was raised to life on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
- Father, allow those you have given me
to be with me where I am,
so that they may behold my glory,
which you have bestowed on me
because you loved me
before the foundation of the world. - The Lord God said, “Behold, man has become like one of us, for he has knowledge of that which is good and that which is evil. Now, we must prevent him from reaching out and taking the fruit of the tree of life lest he eat it and live forever.” The Lord God cast him out of the Garden of Eden; henceforth he was to labor tilling the soil from which he had come.
- This is how we know what love is:
he laid down his life for us,
and we in turn must be prepared
to lay down our lives for our brethren.
