  • Therefore, now I, Nebuchadnezzar,
    praise and exalt and glorify
    the King of heaven.
For all of his works are right,
and all of his ways are just.
Also, he is able to humble
all those who follow the path of pride.
  • Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked. A person will reap only what he sows.
  • The heart is more deceitful than any other thing,
    and it is also perverse.
    Who can uncover its secrets?
I, the Lord, search the heart
    and probe the mind
to reward all according to their conduct
    and as their deeds deserve.
  • This, in fact, is what you have been called to do, because Christ himself suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in his footsteps.

  • Father, allow those you have given me

so that they may behold my glory,
which you have bestowed on me
    because you loved me
before the foundation of the world.
  • For thus says the One who is high and exalted,
    who lives eternally
    and whose name is holy:
I dwell in a high and holy place
but I am with the contrite and the humble,
to revive the spirit of the humble
and to revive the heart of the contrite.
  • To anyone who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, as I myself overcame and sat with my Father on his throne.
