- Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.”
- Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
- Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
- We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.

- Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
- For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
- For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
- ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
- Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
- The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble. - When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”
- Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
- “Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)
