- He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. - A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself;
The simple pass on and are punished. - He sent His word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions. - And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
- Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
- And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

- And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

- And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
- And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
- For
“He who would love life
And see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.” - And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.
- The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.
- And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
- My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - Even to your old age, I am He,
And even to gray hairs I will carry you!
I have made, and I will bear;
Even I will carry, and will deliver you. - Blessed are you when men hate you,
And when they exclude you,
And revile you, and cast out your name as evil,
For the Son of Man’s sake. - As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God.
- Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.
- But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
- For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.
- I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.
- This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles. - He reveals deep and secret things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And light dwells with Him.
