Banish grief from your heart and ignore the sufferings of your body, for youth and the prime of life are fleeting. Ecclesiastes 11:10	So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless. sadness worrying heart
The righteous is remembered with blessings, but the name of the wicked fades away. Proverbs 10:7	We have happy memories of the godly, but the name of a wicked person rots away. sin righteousness blessing

Then Job arose, tore his cloak, and shaved his head. He threw himself prostrate on the ground and said: “Naked I emerged from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” Job 1:20-21	Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship. The vine has withered; the fig tree droops. The pomegranate, the palm, and the apple tree— all the trees of the field have dried up. And the joy of the people has also withered away. Take care, brethren, that none of you will ever have an evil and unbelieving heart that will cause you to forsake the living God. Hebrews 3:12	Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. anger evil heart
For: “If anyone wishes to love life and to experience good days, he must restrain his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn away from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.” 1 Peter 3:10-11	For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.” love peace life
And I heard a loud voice proclaim from the throne: “Behold, God’s dwelling is with mankind; he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and he will be their God, God-with-them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will no longer be death. The brother who is in modest circumstances should take pride in being raised up. Likewise, the one who is rich should glory in being brought low, for he will disappear like a flower of the field. James 1:9-10	Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for God has honored them. And those who are rich should boast that God has humbled them. The love of money is the root of all evils, and in their desire for it some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many serious wounds. 1 Timothy 6:10	For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. money evil greed
Help us, O God, our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and wipe away our sins for your name’s sake. Psalm 79:9	Help us, O God of our salvation! Help us for the glory of your name. Save us and forgive our sins for the honor of your name. salvation worship sin
They will never again experience hunger or thirst, nor will the sun or any scorching heat cause them discomfort. For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne will be their shepherd. He will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Revelation 7:16-17	They will never again be hungry or thirsty; they will never be scorched by the heat of the sun. For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd. The tax collector, however, stood some distance away and would not even raise his eyes to heaven. So Christ, having been offered once to take away the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly waiting for him. Hebrews 9:28	So also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. sin sacrifice salvation
You will again show us compassion and wash away our guilt; you will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. Micah 7:19	Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean! compassion sin forgiveness
Shun evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:15	Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. evil goodness peace
Wash yourselves and become clean; remove your evil deeds far from my sight. Cease to do evil. Isaiah 1:16	Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways. sin purification evil
Do not pride yourself on your own wisdom; fear the Lord and turn your back on evil. This will provide healing for your flesh and restore strength to your body. Proverbs 3:7-8	Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. awe blessing evil
This water prefigured Baptism, which now saves you. It does so not by the washing away of dirt from the body but by the pledge of a good conscience given to God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 3:21	And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. baptism salvation purification
I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower. He removes every branch that does not bear fruit, and every branch that does he prunes to make it bear even more. John 15:1-2	I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. fruitfulness sin obedience
Have mercy on me, O God, in accord with your kindness; in your abundant compassion wipe away my offenses. Wash me completely from my guilt, and cleanse me from my sin. Do not swerve either to the right or to the left; keep your foot far from evil. Proverbs 4:27	Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. evil righteousness following
When you fix your gaze upon it, it is gone before you realize it. For it suddenly sprouts wings and flies up to the sky like an eagle. Proverbs 23:5	In the blink of an eye wealth disappears, for it will sprout wings and fly away like an eagle. money desires materialism
