- Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever. - Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
And His greatness is unsearchable. - Honor the Lord with your possessions,
And with the firstfruits of all your increase. - The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe. - I will extol You, my God, O King;
And I will bless Your name forever and ever. - For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
- To do righteousness and justice
Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.
- Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.
- Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord! - So we may boldly say:
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” - Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. - For the Lord is our Judge,
The Lord is our Lawgiver,
The Lord is our King;
He will save us. - “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.
- This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles. - Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all. - As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him. - “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. - Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples! - Sing to the Lord,
For He has done excellent things;
This is known in all the earth. - Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
But those who deal truthfully are His delight. - Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.
- Better is a little with the fear of the Lord,
Than great treasure with trouble. - I have set the Lord always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. - Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope in His mercy.
