- And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
- But when they had grazed, they became full,
they were filled, and their heart was lifted up;
therefore they forgot me. - And in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’
- And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.”
- And he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
- Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
- For thus says the One who is high and lifted up,
who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:

and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly,
and to revive the heart of the contrite.” - Blessed be the Lord,

- Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit
the righteous to be moved. - He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds. - For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!

all the trees of the field are dried up,
and gladness dries up
