Chinese (traditional)- Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain;
but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised. - But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ.
- When they lead you away and deliver you up, don’t be anxious beforehand or premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
- The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger,
but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing. - For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace.
- He who covers an offense promotes love;
but he who repeats a matter separates best friends. - But let justice roll on like rivers,
and righteousness like a mighty stream. - One who brings gossip betrays a confidence,
but one who is of a trustworthy spirit is one who keeps a secret. - The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever.
- The way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright,
but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity. - But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.
- Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions.
- I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.
- Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a sword.
- Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil,
but joy comes to the promoters of peace. - He is in the way of life who heeds correction,
but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray. - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
but the mouth of the wicked is perverse. - It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife,
but every fool will be quarreling. - The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious; but a fool is swallowed by his own lips.
- House and riches are an inheritance from fathers,
but a prudent wife is from Yahweh. - Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away,
but he who gathers by hand makes it grow. - Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
- Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.
He said to them, “Don’t be amazed. You seek Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him!”
