If I ascend to the heavens, you are there; if I take my rest in the netherworld, you are also there. | Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. |
This saying can be trusted: If we have died with him, we shall also live with him. | The statement is trustworthy: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him. |
And opens the eyes of those who cannot see. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. | The Lord opens the eyes of those who are blind; The Lord raises up those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous. |
In that way, I can come to you in joy, if God so wills, and be refreshed together with you. | So that I may come to you in joy by the will of God and relax in your company. |

Can anyone withhold the water of baptism from these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have? | Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he? |
For our eyes are fixed not on what is seen but rather on that which cannot be seen. What is visible is transitory; what is invisible is eternal. | While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. |
And thus we can have confidence in him that if we ask anything that is in accordance with his will, he hears us. | This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. |
