- Many are the plans in the mind of a man,
but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. - By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.
- A man's gift makes room for him
and brings him before the great. - And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call upon him while he is near. - And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.
- The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
- For the word of the Lord is upright,
and all his work is done in faithfulness. - The unfolding of your words gives light;
it imparts understanding to the simple. - Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit,
but righteousness delivers from death. - Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
- My mouth is filled with your praise,
and with your glory all the day. - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
- Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work. It is a Sabbath to the Lord in all your dwelling places.
- Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.
- The ransom of a man's life is his wealth,
but a poor man hears no threat. - Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. - That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
- Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruits. - On God rests my salvation and my glory;
my mighty rock, my refuge is God. - Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets,
but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing covered. - Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life;
he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom,
and whatever you get, get insight. - Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
- For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God.Next verse!With image
