let me never be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me! - Out of my distress I called on the Lord;
the Lord answered me and set me free. - And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved,
for you are my praise. - His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.
- Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God!
Let your good Spirit lead me
on level ground! - Lead me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all the day long. - For we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.
- So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
- Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- For you are my rock and my fortress;
and for your name's sake you lead me and guide me. - The Lord is on my side; I will not fear.
What can man do to me? - I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah - Blessed be the Lord,
who daily bears us up;
God is our salvation. Selah - But as for me, I will look to the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.
