Coming of Jesus (4/4)

  • Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
  • Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
  • Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”
  • There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.
  • May I never boast of anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
  • Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • For in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith. As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.
  • Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
  • Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.
  • And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
  • Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.
  • But Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
  • She will bear a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
  • When Jesus had received the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
  • While they were eating, Jesus took a loaf of bread, and after blessing it he broke it, gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”
  • Since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
  • But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
  • And every day in the temple and at home they did not cease to teach and proclaim Jesus as the Messiah.
  • If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you.
  • But now, apart from law, the righteousness of God has been disclosed, and is attested by the law and the prophets, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction.
  • Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”
  • And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment.
  • But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed; you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Look, there is the place they laid him.”

Bible verse of the day

Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be a healing for your flesh
and a refreshment for your body.
