- For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

- And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
- Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.
