Bible Verses about 'Day'

  • But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.
  • In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable.
  • That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.
  • This is the day the Lord has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
  • That is why I can never stop praising you;
I declare your glory all day long.
  • The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
    The skies display his craftsmanship.
    Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make him known.
  • When I refused to confess my sin,
    my body wasted away,
and I groaned all day long.
  • Give us today the food we need.
  • Riches won’t help on the day of judgment,
but right living can save you from death.
  • On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”
  • And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation.
  • You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of complete rest, an official day for holy assembly. It is the Lord’s Sabbath day, and it must be observed wherever you live.
  • Lead me by your truth and teach me,
for you are the God who saves me.
All day long I put my hope in you.
  • And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak.
  • Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.
  • Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your livestock, and any foreigners living among you. For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.
  • And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Lord—his name alone will be worshiped.
  • So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.
  • And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.
  • They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.
  • Some people are always greedy for more,
but the godly love to give!
  • And every day, in the Temple and from house to house, they continued to teach and preach this message: “Jesus is the Messiah.”
  • And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
  • So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.
  • In that wonderful day you will sing:
“Thank the Lord! Praise his name!
Tell the nations what he has done.
Let them know how mighty he is!”

But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me,
and through each night I sing his songs,
praying to God who gives me life.
