- My flesh and my heart may fail,
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - I have inherited Your testimonies forever,

- So will My word be which goes out of My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it. - Incline my heart to Your testimonies,
And not to dishonest gain. - Therefore, treat the parts of your earthly body as dead to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.
- Now go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, rather than sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
- I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart;
I will tell of all Your wonders. - I have treasured Your word in my heart,
So that I may not sin against You. - The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart triumphs,
And with my song I shall thank Him. - With all my heart I have sought You;
Do not let me wander from Your commandments. - But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sakes.
- Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
- Teach me Your way, Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name. - For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want.
- If an army encamps against me,
My heart will not fear;
If war arises against me,
In spite of this I am confident. - The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
A broken and a contrite heart, God, You will not despise. - But I have trusted in Your faithfulness;
My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
Because He has looked after me. - The good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.
- Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life. - As in water a face reflects the face,
So the heart of a person reflects the person. - Search me, God, and know my heart;
Put me to the test and know my anxious thoughts;
And see if there is any hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way. - Delight yourself in the Lord;
And He will give you the desires of your heart. - Indeed, all who want to live in a godly way in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
- Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
- For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Incline your ear to my sayings.
They are not to escape from your sight;
Keep them in the midst of your heart. - My son, do not forget my teaching,

The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. - Before destruction the heart of a person is haughty,
But humility goes before honor. - Behold, God is my helper;
The Lord is the sustainer of my soul. - Create in me a clean heart, God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me. - Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
But counselors of peace have joy. - “If you do not listen, and if you do not take it to heart to give honor to My name,” says the Lord of armies, “then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings; and indeed, I have cursed them already, because you are not taking it to heart.”
- The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. - The heart is more deceitful than all else
And is desperately sick;
Who can understand it?
I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the mind,
To give to each person according to his ways,
According to the results of his deeds. - A joyful heart is good medicine,
But a broken spirit dries up the bones.
