- The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands. - Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
- With the Lord on my side I do not fear.
What can mortals do to me? - When you are praying, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard because of their many words.
- Do not, O Lord, withhold
your mercy from me;
let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
keep me safe forever. - So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day.
- Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
- As servants of God, live as free people, yet do not use your freedom as a pretext for evil.
