| Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. | Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. |

| When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their evil way, then God relented of the disaster which He had declared He would bring on them. | Do not abandon your friend or your father’s friend, And do not go to your brother’s house on the day of your disaster; Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother far away. | Do not forsake your friend or a friend of your family, and do not go to your relative’s house when disaster strikes you— better a neighbor nearby than a relative far away. |
| Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward. | Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. |
