Bible Verses about 'Faith is the substance'

Now faith is the certainty of things hoped for, a proof of things not seen. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.”For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Therefore, no one is to act as your judge in regard to food and drink, or in respect to a festival or a new moon, or a Sabbath day— things which are only a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
In the same way, faith also, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not to have quarrels over opinions.Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
For we walk by faith, not by sight. For we walk by faith, not by sight.
For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
But now faith, hope, and love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Behold, as for the impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous one will live by his faith.Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Honor the Lord from your wealth, And from the first of all your produce.Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase.
But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is only fitting, because your faith is increasing abundantly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another grows ever greater. We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.
We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles; nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified. We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
And He said to them, “Because of your meager faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
And Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him.But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
So then, while we have opportunity, let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
