- Thus there are three things that endure: faith, hope, and love,

Always be prepared to offer an explanation to anyone who asks you to justify the hope that is in you. However, do so with gentleness and respect. - The proud man’s heart is not upright,
but the righteous man will live
because of his faith. - But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
- We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law.
- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy he has given us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
- Guide me in your truth and instruct me,
for you are God, my Savior,
and in you I hope all the day long.
