Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'False'
- An honest witness does not deceive,
but a false witness pours out lies. - Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
- Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
- ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’
- Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool—
how much worse lying lips to a ruler! - Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread. - Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
- The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
- As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.
- For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so it will not totter.
Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them;
they can do no harm
nor can they do any good.
A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,
but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.
