Bible Verses about 'Father'
- Whoever denies the Son
does not have the Father,
but whoever acknowledges the Son
has the Father also. - I came from the Father
and have come into the world.

so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. - But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.
- If you forgive others for the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- As a father has compassion for his children,
so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him. - And I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Advocate
to be with you forever. - By this is my Father glorified,
that you bear much fruit
and become my disciples. - And every tongue should proclaim
to the glory of God the Father:
Jesus Christ is Lord. - The father of a good man will rejoice;
he who begets a wise son will delight in him. - I give them eternal life,
and they will never perish.
No one will ever snatch them from my hand.
My Father who has given them to me
is greater than all,
and no one can snatch them
out of the Father’s hand.
I and the Father are one. - If you know me,
then you will know my Father also.
From now on you do know him.
You have seen him. - Jesus replied,
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father
except through me.” - You are from your father, the devil,
and you choose to carry out your father’s desires.
He was a murderer from the beginning,
and he does not abide by the truth,
for there is no truth in him.
When he lies,
he speaks in accord with his own nature,
for he is a liar
and the father of lies. - Fear not, little flock, for your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom.
- But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that the fact that you are fasting will not be obvious to others but only to your Father who is hidden. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.
- Yet, O Lord, you are our Father;
we are the clay and you are our potter;
all of us are the work of your hands. - Abba, Father, for you all things are possible. Take this cup from me. Yet not my will but yours be done.
- He cried out, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” And with these words he breathed his last.
- Honor your father and your mother so that your days may be lengthened in the land that the Lord your God, will give you.
- Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots to divide his garments.
- For this reason
a man shall leave his father and mother
and be joined to his wife,
and the two shall become one flesh. - Do you suppose that I cannot appeal to my Father for help and he will not immediately send me more than twelve legions of angels?
- And whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- Do not love the world
or what is in the world.
If anyone does love the world,
the love of the Father is not in him. - If anyone wishes to serve me,
he must follow me.
Where I am,
there also will my servant be.
If anyone serves me,
my Father will honor that person. - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all consolation. He consoles us in all our afflictions and thereby enables us to console others in their tribulations, offering them the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.
- Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my heavenly Father.
- To anyone who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, as I myself overcame and sat with my Father on his throne.
- I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know him.
- Jesus answered him,
“Whoever loves me will keep my word,
and my Father will love him,
and we will come to him
and make our abode with him.” - Blessed be the God,
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in Christ
with every spiritual blessing in the heavens. - This is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.’ - And whenever you stand in prayer, forgive whatever grievance you have against anybody, so that your Father in heaven may forgive your wrongs too.
- For you did not receive a spirit of slavery leading to fear; rather, you received the Spirit of adoption, enabling us to cry out, “Abba! Father!”
- For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay everyone according to what has been done.
- However, the Advocate, the Holy Spirit,
whom the Father will send in my name,
will teach you everything
and remind you of all
that I have said to you. - Every good act of giving and every perfect gift are from above, coming down from the Father of all light. With him there is no alteration or shadow caused by change.
- Exalted at God’s right hand, he received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.
