Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Favour'
- For those who find me find life
and receive favor from the Lord. - He who finds a wife finds what is good
and receives favor from the Lord. - Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,
who conduct their affairs with justice. - Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield. - Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. - A good name is more desirable than great riches;
to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. - For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning. - But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.”
- Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man. - It was not by their sword that they won the land,
nor did their arm bring them victory;
it was your right hand, your arm,
and the light of your face, for you loved them. - Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
- Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.”
- Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests. - The lips of the righteous know what finds favor,
but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse. - May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
establish the work of our hands for us—
yes, establish the work of our hands.
Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.Next verse!With image
