- For whoever finds me finds life
and obtains favor from the Lord. - He who finds a wife finds a good thing
and obtains favor from the Lord. - It is well with the man who deals generously and lends;
who conducts his affairs with justice. - For you bless the righteous, O Lord;
you cover him with favor as with a shield. - A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
and favor is better than silver or gold. - Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. - For his anger is but for a moment,
and his favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning. - And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.”
- Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good success
in the sight of God and man. - For not by their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm save them,
but your right hand and your arm,
and the light of your face,
for you delighted in them. - And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
- The words of a wise man's mouth win him favor,
but the lips of a fool consume him. - Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands upon us;
yes, establish the work of our hands!
The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us.
