- And hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
- Out of my distress I called on the Lord;
the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. - Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- You are indeed my rock and my fortress;
for your name's sake lead me and guide me. - But as for me, I will look to the Lord,
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - Do not, O Lord, withhold
your mercy from me;
let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
keep me safe forever. - With the Lord on my side I do not fear.
What can mortals do to me? - And said to them, “Whoever welcomes this child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me; for the least among all of you is the greatest.”
- The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters. - For to me, living is Christ and dying is gain.
- My times are in your hand;
deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors. - Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin. - And it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war rise up against me,
yet I will be confident. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.
- Yet I have been the Lord your God
ever since the land of Egypt;
you know no God but me,
and besides me there is no savior. - I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
- I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.
- Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart to revere your name. - Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
- O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from far away. - The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and save me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning,
for in you I put my trust.
Teach me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul. - For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:
Seek me and live. - You call me Teacher and Lord—and you are right, for that is what I am.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff—
they comfort me.You shall worship the Lord your God, and I will bless your bread and your water; and I will take sickness away from among you. Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right,
and speak the truth from their heart;
who do not slander with their tongue,
and do no evil to their friends,
nor take up a reproach against their neighbors.Next verse!With image
